What Happens if PLT or Pedagogy is not Passed?

To successfully complete the Non-Traditional Licensure Program and receive an Initial license the appropriate pedagogy assessment must be passed (within the NTL Program period) for the issued license area.

If the assessment is not passed, and the Provisional license expires, remediation is available to help the participant with this assessment during the next year. The participant WILL NOT be eligible for a teaching license during the remediation year, unless or until the pedagogy assessment is passed and the official score report is on file with the NTL program office.

If the assessment is not passed by the end of the remediation year, the participant will not have completed the program and may re-enroll in the program beginning with year one.
