NTL Home | Program Description | Entry Requirements | First Year | Second Year | Testing Information | General Information
Second year participants normally continue to attend modules at the same site they attended in the first year of the program. However, if a participant moves to another part of the state, it may be possible to change sites for the second year. The participant must notify the NTL office in writing (e-mail is preferred) that they are requesting to change sites, indicating why they are requesting the change. Second year module dates will be posted when they become available.
NTLP teachers who successfully completed the first year must reapply to the second year of the program. To apply, the NTLP teacher will:
- Go to the Online Application, complete the application, and submit payment for the second year program fee via credit card or electronic check. This application process must be completed with payment between January 15 and June 15.
- Once the second year online application is received in the NTL office within 7-10 business days you will receive a second year Employment Eligibility Form by mail.
- Obtain or continue appropriate employment as teacher-of-record and submit the following items to the NTLP Site Facilitator BEFORE the final day of summer instructional modules:
- Completed second year Employment Eligibility Form signed by authorized school district representative.
- Application for a teaching license, (same as first year).
- Your license WILL NOT be processed until the NTL office receives second year letter of eligibility and the signed application.
