Intermediate-High

COACHING ENDORSEMENT:

NTL teachers seeking to add a Coaching endorsement may add the endorsement as the second area of licensure to any license area upon demonstration of a coaching assignment, and submission of the proper documentation to include:

  • Official transcript showing completion of a college/university program of study in Coaching
  • Official score report showing a passing score on the required Praxis II exam (listed in red above)
  • Application for a teaching license, signed by the college/university Licensure Officer, verifying the Coaching program of study and recommending the endorsement be added to the license

ESL (P-8) ENDORSEMENT:

NTL teachers seeking to add an ESL (P-8) endorsement may add the endorsement as the second area of licensure to an Early Childhood (P-4) or a Middle Childhood (4-8) license area upon demonstration of a teaching assignment in ESL (P-4) or ESL (4-8), and submission of proper documentation to include:

  • Official transcript showing completion of a college/university program of study in ESL, or the ESL Academy for college credit
  • Official score report showing a passing score on the required Praxis II exam (listed in red above)
  • Application for a teaching license, signed by the college/university Licensure Officer, verifying the program of study and recommending the endorsement be added to the license

ESL (7-12) ENDORSEMENT:

NTL teachers seeking to add an ESL (7-12) endorsement may add the endorsement as the second area of licensure to a license in secondary Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Drama/Speech or any foreign language upon demonstration of a teaching assignment in ESL (7-12), and submission of proper documentation to include:

  • Official transcript showing completion of a college/university program of study in ESL, or the ESL Academy for college credit
  • Official score report showing a passing score on the required Praxis II exam (listed in red above)
  • Application for a teaching license, signed by the college/university Licensure Officer, verifying the program of study and recommending the endorsement be added to the license

JOURNALISM ENDORSEMENT:

NTL teachers seeking to add a Journalism (7-12) endorsement may add the endorsement as the second area of licensure to a license in secondary Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Drama/Speech or any foreign language upon demonstration of a teaching assignment in Journalism (7-12), and submission of proper documentation to include:

  • Official transcript showing completion of a college/university program of study in Journalism
  • Official score report showing a passing score on the required Praxis II exam (listed in red above)
  • Application for a teaching license, signed by the college/university Licensure Officer, verifying the program of study and recommending the endorsement be added to the license

MANDARIN CHINESE ENDORSEMENT:

NTL teachers seeking to add a Mandarin Chinese endorsement may add the endorsement as the second area of licensure to a license in secondary Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, Drama/Speech or any foreign language upon demonstration of a teaching assignment in Mandarin Chinese, and submission of proper documentation to include:

  • Official score report showing a passing score on the required ACTFL exams (listed in red above)
